The biography of Shawn Davis is of an artist who has been influenced by many stages of electronic music From Electro 80s new romantic Detroit techno to 80s UK breakbeat and acid house IDM and the sound of bleep on towards intelligent drum and bass and beyond. From the early 2000s, Shawn Davis was involved in underground music playing at venues in Birmingham like the kitchen in the medicine bar playing broken beats leftfield grooves, and acid house From that, he teamed up with a group of producers who met on a music production course and from that would frequent the rainbow in Birmingham where he met artists from various experimental labels and also artists broadcast from warp plus Bentley rhythm ace to name a couple From those moments and even before Shawn knew he wanted to learn and go deeper into creating this music so he continued to do courses and pass them and from that, he taught himself and perfected his mixing production and mastering at home. he began to get national UK radio airplay on BBC Radio 1 Now Shawn does a few things like reviewing artists' music giving advice on production and promotion to musicians in many different genres including many American hip hop and trap artists. Shawn has also had music licensed to big-screen films as an artist he was funded by the company media lab that is part of Birmingham University which funded his first label project CCT Records. He also DJs and plays many of the world's new up-and-coming techno labels and producers playing a lot of exclusives. Shawn also now runs Futurist recordings an underground experimental label creating a forward-thinking sound he also runs Ikonic Image and the music from that label, in particular, is very groundbreaking Fusing electro-ambient UK techno with visionary glitched beats He now is seen by some as one of the best underground producers in the UK for experimental leftfield sounds and ambient techno.
