    Bio

Carlos Trilha, brazilian keyboardist and music producer experienced in the use of synthesizers, born in Brazil, 1970. Professional musician since 1984. Played with greatest brazilian artists like Marisa Monte, Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, Renato Russo, Ana Carolina, Legião Urbana e Nação Zumbi. Music producer that sold more than 2.5 millions albuns, it's also arranger, programmer, sound designer and audio engineer since 1990. On stage, he uses synthesizers, analogue sequencers and drum machines from the 70’s and early 80’s to compose all sounds, with no loops or sound libraries are used. These historical instruments evoke the origin of characteristic electronic sounds that are now widely used in many types of pop and electronic music. It's a real electronic concert with analog synthesizers and drum machines. The concert MoogBeat - Nação Zumbi for Minimoog was created by Trilha presents classics musics from the  manguebeat band  Nação Zumbi (Zumbi Nation), autoral musics and some classic eletronic musics, all decoded to analog synthesis language. The album which rises from this performance includes eight songs recreated by Trilha, using only one analog synthesizer to compose all sounds, the emblematic  Minimoog from the 70s. It's an electromagnetic translation of Nação Zumbi's songs. The result is an electronic authorial review, impressively organic and detailed, a product of this technological and handcrafted creative process. The highlight of the live performances is the use of rare analog instruments, staged to show the public how these interesting devices work. In addition, he also uses a special set of projection images from generative code (created in real time), synchronized by software written with MAX/MSP/JITTER  specially for each performance. Trilha recalls the “belle epoque” of electronic music; more than just an exciting audio-visual experience, it is “an inspiring journey through time for lovers of contemporary art.”  It's an exciting audio-visual experience.
