The songs of Chicago-based rock band Microcosms are fuzzy, punky, and punchy. Andrew Tschiltsch (vox, guitar) started the band in 2015 alongside Bryan Emer, whose delightfully heavy yet funky bass lines dance with the crunchy lead guitar. Jered Piepenbrink’s vibrant drumming drives the heartbeat of every song, while Ronn Richardson uses guitars and keys to provide that sweet sweet ear candy. “Flytrap” is the first Microcosms release as a 4-piece band and never has a boring moment.
