Cerberus, in Greek and Roman mythology, is a multi-headed hound (usually three-headed) that guards the gates of the Underworld, to prevent those who have crossed the river Styx from ever escaping. Each head represents birth, life, and death. In this album, Cerberus represents 3 things: The emotional walls we put up as people that we use as a defense mechanism; the things we do to put those walls up for any reason or cause that provokes us to do these things. Cerberus also represents us fighting ourselves. It’s your soul, your mind, and your intuition all agreeing and disagreeing with each other all at the same time. In rare moments they all want and/or need the same thing. Even in the moments where they don’t totally agree with each other, they negotiate and compromise with each other to hit a common goal, as we sometimes do as people. The 3rd and final meaning is each head is a representative of a disc and each disc is a representative of a place.
